Upholstery Staples / Tacker Staples are U-shaped, two-leg fasteners for attaching fabric, leather and suitable upholstery layers to wooden chair and furniture frames. The crown bridges the covering while both legs enter the timber. They are staples rather than nails, although displayed alongside nails in this catalogue. T-nails have a single stem and a T-shaped head and are a different fastener.

Select the staple series, wire gauge, crown width and leg length to match both the covering and the stapler. Fine-wire staples are commonly used in upholstery, but nominal gauge or a similar appearance alone does not establish compatibility. Allow for the compressed covering thickness and adequate penetration into the wood without protruding through the frame. For foam padding assemblies, the staple must anchor into the wood; foam itself is not a holding substrate.

Install with a compatible Upholstery Stapler or Tacker. Manual, electric and pneumatic tools accept different staple series, so check the tool manufacturer specification before ordering. Test on an offcut or concealed area and adjust driving depth to secure the covering without cutting it. Confirm material and corrosion protection for the intended environment. These staples are not structural framing fasteners or masonry fixings.
