When you send an inquiry or request a quotation, we collect the details you enter in the form. Depending on the form, this can include:

• Product details such as screw type, material, size, surface finish, quantity and packaging requirements
• Any message you write
• Any drawing, specification or other file you choose to upload

Only your name, company name, business email address and country are required. Everything else is optional, and you can send an inquiry without it.

Information collected automatically

When you arrive from an advertisement or a search result, we record the campaign information attached to your visit so we know which advertising is working. This includes Google click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, wbraid), campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), the page you landed on and the page that referred you. These values are stored in your browser for up to 90 days and are submitted with your inquiry.

Our hosting provider also records standard server log information, including IP address, for security and troubleshooting.

How we use your information

Cookies

This site uses a small number of first-party cookies. The campaign cookies described above expire after 90 days. Analytics and advertising cookies are set by Google when those services are active. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the inquiry form will still work.

Who we share information with

Your inquiry is handled by our own sales team. We share information only with service providers that make this website and our business operate — website hosting, email delivery, and the advertising and analytics providers named above — and with the manufacturing and logistics partners needed to quote, produce and ship your order. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and the correspondence that follows are kept for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship with you, and afterwards only as long as needed for accounting, export documentation or legal obligations. Uploaded drawings and specifications are kept for the life of the project unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Drawings, samples and specifications you send are used only to quote and produce your parts. We do not share them with other customers and do not use them to make products for anyone else. If your project needs a signed non-disclosure agreement, tell us before you send the files and we will sign one.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email sales@johnnyshardware.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in a region with specific data protection rights, such as the EEA, the UK or a US state with a consumer privacy law, those rights apply to you and we will honour them.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection. Inquiry data is stored on our website and forwarded to our sales team by email. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send information through this form that you consider highly sensitive.

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
