Product Information
Siding Nails are exterior fastening nails used to install compatible vinyl, wood and fiber cement siding products over approved wall assemblies. They are commonly supplied with corrosion-resistant galvanized finishes and in smooth shank or ring shank versions to match different cladding materials, substrates and holding requirements.
Smooth Shank Siding Nails drive easily and are suitable where the siding specification allows normal withdrawal resistance. Ring Shank Siding Nails use annular rings to grip wood fibers more strongly and provide better resistance to withdrawal and loosening, making them a common choice for wood siding and other exterior cladding systems that require additional holding power.
Coil-collated nails can be installed with a compatible Siding Nailer for efficient volume work, while loose nails can be driven with a Claw Hammer. Vinyl siding must be fastened according to the siding manufacturer's instructions, normally without clamping the panel tightly so it can expand and contract. Nail material, coating, head size, length and driving depth must match the siding product, substrate, exposure and local code.
