Bump Cap / Lightweight Safety Cap is a low-profile head protection item for DIY, maintenance and light jobsite tasks where users may bump their head against fixed objects such as low beams, attic framing, vehicle underbodies, shelving or tree branches.

Unlike an industrial hard hat, a bump cap is intended for minor bumps, scrapes and overhead contact with stationary objects. It is not a replacement for protective helmets required where falling objects, electrical hazards or heavy impact risks are present.
