Product Information
Duplex Nails, also called Double-Headed Nails or Scaffold Nails, are hand-driven timber fasteners for temporary construction that will later be dismantled. Typical applications include timber concrete formwork, temporary wood bracing and removable wooden assemblies. Scaffold-related timber connections must follow the project design; these nails do not replace metal scaffold couplers or rated system connectors.
The lower head seats against the wood to hold the assembly, while the second head remains exposed above the surface. A hammer claw or suitable nail-pulling pincers can grip beneath the upper head when the temporary work is ready to be removed. The smooth shank assists extraction; the double head is a removal feature rather than a claim of extra load capacity.
Use a Claw Hammer and stop driving when the lower head meets the timber surface. Leave the upper head accessible. Select length, shank diameter and finish for the timber thickness, exposure and temporary works specification. These nails fasten the wooden formwork around concrete, not the concrete itself.
